The Queen today approved the Lord Chancellor’s recommendation that Liam Walker QC should be appointed one of Her Majesty’s Counsel.
The title of Queen’s Counsel is reserved for barristers who are regarded as having consistently illustrated the standard of ‘excellence’ in their work over a period of at least 3 years. Those awarded the title are regarded being the elite of the profession.
Liam’s forthcoming appointment follows a year of accolades from fellow professionals. He was is one of only two criminal practitioners to be ranked in the top tier of both The Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners 2022 at the same time.
He is described by fellow professionals as being ‘A class act. An absolute star’.
